Pre Take-off Checks

PARK AIRCRAFT AT 45 DEGREES ON TAXIWAY.

1. 5 safety clips.

2. Right side: - Wing, wheel, air filters and carbs.

3. Left side: - Wing, wheel, exhaust springs and safety wires.

4. Front wheel, instruments and safety belts.

5. Free and easy movement of "A" frame, Pitch and Roll.

6. Mag. check, brakes on 4000 rpm, not more than 300 rpm drop between mags.

7. Look out for aircraft on Base Leg and Finals.

8. Radio Call

9. Line up and throttle check.

10. Radio call and take off.

RADIO CALLS IN THE CIRCUIT

1. Before you taxi you will make this call.

BARBERTON TRAFFIC THIS IS MICROLIGHT CER TAXIING HOLDING POINT 30 PYRAMID.

2. Before you enter the runway, you will make this call.

BARBERTON TRAFFIC CER LINEING UP AND ROLLING RUNWAY 30 PYRAMID FOR CIRCUITS AND LANDINGS.

3. Halfway down the downwind leg you will make this call.

BARBERTON TRAFFIC THIS CER ON A RIGHT HAND DOWNWIND FOR 30 PYRAMID.

4. Just before you turn finals, you will make this call.

BARBERTON TRAFFIC CER TURNING FINALS 30 PYRAMID TOUCH AND GO OR FULL STOP LANDING.

5. After landing and once you are off the runway you will make this call.

BARBERTON TRAFFIC CER IS CLEAR OF RUNWAY 30 PYRAMID.
